This will be the last article I write as I end my first year as President of MWI. Looking back, I am very grateful for last year. I must start by thanking my co-vice presidents, Phyllis Biernick and Alyssa Grenwald, for their support and always being available to me and the entire MWI membership. I would be remiss if I did not thank all tthe board members who have worked so hard to make MWI the success it is. Thank you all for doing a fantastic job and going the extra mile when necessary.
We had some interesting events this past year. Just to mention a few: the revision of the"Dine Around," organized by Phllis Birnbaum. Alyssa Greenwald coordinated the Tour of Grand Central Station. Everyone enjoyed that trip and requested we plan more local trips in the future. Also, Nina Grossworth had us singing along with "Musical Bingo."
Our study groups are holding members' interest, and we are planning to hopefully add to our present list. Our study group leaders have worked diligently to get interesting people and/or topics at all our venues.
It has been a very gratifying year. One of our goals has been and will continue to be, increasing membership. Even in these diffictult times, we have attracted new members, some of whom have become active in our organization. This will be a continued goal for the coming year.
I want to remind you that your board has and will contine to respond to the members' requests and comments. Remember to check your weekly email and this website for upcoming events. Please attend our study groups and special events.
Coming soon! Annual Card Party, General Meeting, and Installation and Philanthropy Luncheon. Looking forward to seeing you there. Remember to check your weekly emails and this website. And remember, YOU, the members, are the success of the organization.
